First Republic Bank is biting the bullet, here's what that means

1. Lending is drying up even further. As non-government insured loans are heading into default as well largely due to office industry, banks are increasing scrutiny on assets that are not already stabilized.

2. Big banks are going to get bigger. First Republic Bank has been purchased by JP Morgan Chase as of today, which will affect the number of future competitors in the lending market.

3. Commercial real estate acquisitions for distressed assets are going to see a significant fall in price as cheap lending leaves the market

SARE Ladies has teamed up with UCLA DataRes to conduct a survey with the aim of gaining a better understanding of the attitudes and behaviors of AAPI women towards investing, particularly in real estate. It is important to note that this survey is open to both males and females. Our goal is to make this an annual project so that we can continuously improve our services to better serve our AAPI female investor community.

This survey is hosted by SARE Ladies and will be studied by UCLA's DataRes Student Consulting group.
